Thomas Consulting Engineers Trained in use of New Eurocode
All of Thomas Consultings Structural engineering partners and senior engineers are to attend a training seminar in the design of steel buildings to Eurocode 3 (EC3).
EC3 has been published, and the National Annex is about to be published making the code "live". Awareness of the changes in design methodology and timely preparation for adoption of the new code will be critical to the design of major projects. Thomas Consulting are planning for those changes now!
Although our engineers have been regularly attending external Eurocode seminars for some time, it was felt that a full day in-house seminar will allow our engineers to interact and obtain greater benefits. The course will cover the Eurocode documentation, design principles for steel and the major changes to present practice. The course is run by acknowledged experts in steel design and use from the Steel Construction Institute (SCI). Experts advise that for complex steel buildings Eurocode 3 will deliver significant cost savings in materials. Thomas Consulting are committed to delivering quality design services to its clients and training all its staff to current and future standards.
