Liverpool Pierhead Ferry Terminal

Client: APC Structural Steelwork, Blackpool

New ferry terminal and offices for the Mersey Ferry, Liverpool. Located adjacent to the historic 3 Graces on this World Heritage site this will be a new landmark building for Liverpool.

We have worked closely with our client APC Structural Steelwork and project management team to complete the structural steelwork design on this unusual building, which in elevation has the outline of a ship.

The structure incorporates Corus Bi-Steel lift shafts, which enable rapid construction of lift shafts and stairwells as well as F-Beam structural steel beams, total project value is around £8m.
