Nuclear Industry Services
Thomas Consulting have provided Civil and Structural Engineering Services to the Nuclear Industry for a number of years. We have undertaken design services at BNFL Springfields and Sellafield ranging from design of new buildings to small structural alterations. We have been providing regular services to BEG, now part of EDF, for more than 10 years at various power stations including Heysham 1 & 2, Sizewell B and Torness. Services include:-
- Assessment of existing structure for the purposes of plant maintenance
- Design of new structure for plant development including seismic qualification.
- Design of new Building Structures including essential plant facilities, office accommodation, training facilities and workshops up to £1.5M contract value.
- Inspection and assessment of Sea Wall and Marine structures.
